Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Cake

For all of you who need just a tad bit of something sweet, this may be a great option. It is a pretty simple recipe and only requires 3 ingredients - dark chocolate, peanuts, and bananas. We used dark chocolate, but feel free to try other types if you prefer.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Cake

Materials:
9x9 inch pan
parchment paper
food processor (if making peanut butter from scratch)
double broiler (or makeshift one: large pot of boiling water beneath a glass dish)
spatula
spoon
knife
cutting board

Ingredients:
4 bananas
Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Morsels
Homemade peanut butter (from ground Kirkland extra large peanuts)

Directions:
Using a double broiler or makeshift one (glass dish on top of pot with boiling water), melt the entire bag of Enjoy Life dark chocolate morsels.
Make homemade peanut butter by grinding Kirkland extra large peanuts in a food processor (or use store bought peanut butter that contains only peanuts and salt) .
Line a 9x9 inch pan with parchment paper.
Peel and slice banana the long way to layer the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking pan.
Using a spatula, spread the peanut butter over the bottom banana layer.*
Pour the melted chocolate over the banana layer with peanut butter.
Layer sliced banana on top.
Pour the rest of the melted dark chocolate over the entire cake and throw some peanuts on top.
Put the cake in the freezer to enjoy later when frozen.

*Optional: add a dash of maple syrup on the inside of the cake (between the two banana layers) to make it a little sweeter.
